Competitions

 

Open Trout    -    Club Waters - 3rd Saturday in April 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. ~ any legal lure.

Fly                 -    Club Waters - 2nd Saturday in May 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. ~ no spinning or bait fishing allowed on this day.

Club Outing   -    Loch Fad - 18th May 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. ~ Free bus from Dalmellington, names to be given to secretary, first 45 members, first come first served.

Pike Competition    -    Club Waters - 8th June - Enrol at Chapel car park at 7.45 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Salmon and Sea Trout   -    Club Waters - 1st Saturday in October 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. ~ will continue every Saturday until won. Both Adult and Junior competitions to be fished for on same day.

Weigh-ins for river competitions at Chapel car park. All competitions will be for total weight of catch, anglers will share placing if weight is equal. Length of fish shall be with open tails, 9" minimum on river.

Trophy presentation will be held in the Masonic Hall, Dalmellington, Sunday 8th December 2002 at 3 p.m.

A bottle of Whisky or Voucher for the same value for junior members, will be awarded to the Angler who catches the first verified Salmon of the year, on the river.

Eight Brown Trout have been tagged and stocked in the river, each tag is worth £5  any angler who catches one of the tagged trout, should present the tag to the Secretary for payment of the prize money.
